OpenBCM is the evolution of the Satori Trustwin System. Systems that stay the same forever, eventually wither and fail to adapt to the changing needs of the customer. Trustwin was a brand that was no longer relevant to what the platform was becoming, as it was neither Trustee specific, nor is it truly Windows specific as we move forward.

Over the span of three decades, there have been lessons learned, and the platform needed to evolve. Less dependence upon Windows, and its quirks and limitation, and more of an open approach to how Trustees operate. The platform itself needed to open the doors to enable better interoperation with peer systems. In many ways the entire thought process behind it needed to become more open and vendor agnostic.

OpenBCM is that evolution, of design, implementation, though and interoperability.
